Free Spy ware

There is a growing threat on the Internet from spyware and other malicious programs. Luckily there are some great free spy ware removers that can be downloaded from the Internet.

Spyware is the term used for a group of programs that can infect your computer and extract data from it. They can take information about the keystrokes that you use, and therefore determine your passwords. They can take credit card and bank account details and therefore be used in identity fraud. Spyware can also report on your movements on the Internet, such as what sites you are visiting. Complete strangers can then use all of this personal information about you.

So how can you determine if your computer is infected by spyware? The easiest thing to do is to download one of the good quality free spy ware programs and run a scan of your system. This will probably take a few minutes but will reveal any programs that are on your PC. You maybe surprised at what is found. It is generally reckoned that about 90% of computers that have an Internet connection are infected with spyware, adware or other malware. Sometimes a scan by a spy ware program has revealed hundreds of such programs on a person's machine and they were not even aware of it.

The other way that you maybe alerted to the presence of spyware is if your PC starts behaving erratically. If it runs slower than normal, or you aren't able to use software as normal, it maybe that there is a malicious program causing the problem. If you are not sure, then you can run a scan for spyware and other unwanted programs such as computer viruses.

It's important to remember that while free spy ware software will protect you against many of the problems we have discussed, they won't protect you against computer viruses. For that you will need an ant-virus program. There are a number of programs to remove viruses that are available for free on the Net. Alternatively you can go to Amazon or your local computer store and purchase one. It is worth noting that several of the big name anti-virus companies now include a level of spyware protection in their products.
